Mapondo fire-fighting tanks and hydrant tanks are designed and installed according to fire tank regulations and conform with prescribed ASIB (Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau) standards
ON-SITE INSTALLATION:
The modular design of Mapondo drinking water tanks facilitates installation in remote areas or on sites that are difficult to reach. Tanks of less than 350,000 litres are installed directly onto a sand pad on level ground requiring no concrete works (no slab or foundation as base).
RAPID INSTALLATION:
Unlike concrete reservoirs that may take months to construct and cure, installation of Mapondo sectional tanks by our competent, certified installation teams, takes only one to several days (depending on the capacity).
LONGEVITY:
The expected life-span of Mapondo tanks, is 50 years.
OUTER STEEL PANEL WALLS:
Highest quality Aluminium alloy structural steel panels with engineer-designed strengthening profiles, are precision punched to facilitate speedy installation.
ROOF:
Low-dome profile, free-standing, bulk water storage tank roofs effectively ‘seal’ the water tanks. This preserves potable water quality whilst preventing ingress of dust, insects, vermin and light (no algal growth). The all-steel roofs contribute significantly to the strength, wind tolerance, and rigidity of our water tanks.
INNER PVC LINERS:
Mapondo liquid storage tanks have inner water tank linings of reinforced, UV resistant PVC (water is therefore NEVER in contact with the steel). The inert liners are of international food grade quality as certified by (amongst others) the Australian Water Quality Centre standard AS/NZS 4020:2005 testing for Potable Water. Water tank liners are also available for a variety of liquid forms, including various fuel types.

Standard fittings and accessories of the best available quality are meticulously sourced, selected and inspected to ensure the highest standards and exceptional quality throughout.
